Save the Dates! Important 2020 Annual Conference and Clergy Session Dates
Grace and peace to you, sisters and brothers, in the name of the risen Christ!
The season of Easter reminds us that we are in covenant with God and one another. When we are baptized, we promise God and the body of Christ that we will hold one another in love and care.

Out of love and care your Annual Conference leadership continues to take the time needed to make an informed, reasonable, and faithful decision regarding the shape of our 2020 Annual Conference.

For now, we are able to provide the following updated information:

The regular 2020 West Virginia Annual Conference session has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 1st and Sunday, August 2nd.   The format for the conference is being revised. It is our desire to offer in-person gatherings for voting members of the annual conference in multiple locations across the Conference that will be connected by online means thereby enabling us to complete necessary business and maintain safe physical distancing.

The Clergy Session will take place on Saturday, June 6, from 10 am-noon, using Zoom Webinar. Clergy will receive registration and participation details and the Business of the Annual Conference report shortly by email and by mail.
The Laity Session this year will not take place in-person. We are exploring online options now. If we choose to meet online, the registration information, including date and time, will be communicated to each lay representative to the annual conference in the next few weeks. There will also not be a Laity Banquet this year.

The Clergy Move Dates will remain the same. Clergy families will move out on June 24 and move in on June 25, 2020.

Details regarding registration for Annual Conference  will be forthcoming. Watch your email and the Conference website for details (www.wvumc.org).

As we care for each other, particularly for those who are most vulnerable among us, we plan with an abundance of caution. We will continue to monitor the most current recommendations from our state and our trusted health organizations. Your Annual Conference leadership will share additional details with you regarding Annual Conference as soon as they are available.
